Cottage Update

Today, we went to our lovely little cottage on Deer Lake. It was a beautiful day here in Wisconsin. The fall colors are absolutely beautiful. I believe it is very close to "peak" colors. We rearranged our "bedrooms" so we have a queen bed in the cottage, which makes it more comfortable for guests. The dock is still in the water but that will be taken out next week. My, how time flies, can't believe the summer has come and gone and now we are thinking about putting everything away for the winter.

We will be looking forward all winter to our "first" full summer at the cottage.

Football Weekend

This weekend two of my four children came to visit. It is great, as always, to have them here. It is especially nice when they want to watch football with Craig. Josh and Craig have been able to watch each of the games and analyze them thoroughly. While they have been watching the games I have had the chance to work on my closet. It seems clothes have a way of multiplying right in front of you. I can't believe how many white and black tops I have. I think the idea of when you buy something new you discard something old is a good way of keeping your closet under control.

Today we took my parents to breakfast at the IHop in LHC. It is their 57th wedding anniversary. Of course, I thought it would be nice to take my parents to a very nice place for dinner, but, the Dallas Cowboys are playing late afternoon and according to my husband all restaurants should be closed so we can all enjoy the "Boys".

It is a Chamber of Commerce day in LHC; 68 and sunny, so guess I will read a book in the sunshine.

We are still enjoying our time away from work, but I do miss the "chats" with my girlfriends and will enjoy seeing them again.

January 12, 2008

Today, just a normal day in LHC, AZ. Sunshine, 60's and football. Craig is preoccupied with the playoff season. I have known this from the start of our relationship. He loves his football and I know my place during this season. It could be worse, it could be lots of hunting, fishing, gambling, etc., but it is only football and for that I am grateful! But, he is truly a wonderful man, as he took me to Las Vegas earlier this week to see my beloved Beatles in the "Love" circue du soleil. It was amazing and we both enjoyed it immensely.

Tomorrow, daughter Jacquie is running in the Rock n' Roll marathon in Phoenix, wish her luck! It is also my parents 57th wedding anniversary. Wow! Isn't it amazing that true love really does prevail, unfortunately many of us will never see that many years with our loved one, but we will cherish the years that we do have together! I am very proud of my parents and know there have been good times and bad times but they have stayed true to their love and commitment. We can all learn something from them.
